Fees for Licences.

A comparative table of the fees for licences now

levied with proposed alteration will be found on page No. 16

of this Report.

It is suggested that the fee for Trading Junks

be raised by $3.00 all through the scale to compensate for the

loss of Revenue caused by the withdrawal of the "Special

Permits".

The Fishing Licences should be at the same rate

as that for Fish Drying Hulks. It is a moderate increase and

which will cause no hardship especially whan it is considered

that fishing junks are capable of drying fish when at anchor or

underweigh where no control is possible.

Licences for Lighters, Cargo and Water Boats,

also for Fish Drying Hulks remain on the same scale.

Register of Tees Received.

The multiplicity of Forms of Licences, etc.,

being abolished by the "Junk Certificate of Registry", two

Registers are required for the Audit Department to account for

the fees received by the Harbour Master for the issue and

renewal of Junk Certificate of Registry and Licences. For this

control, Audit Registers are necessary, pro-forma of which

are submitted.

Subsidiary Harbour Stations.

The work at these Stations will not be material-

-ly increased. The forms hitherto used will require to be slight-
